Juwon Yu

Juwon is a 9th grade student at Cupertino High School. He has been playing the cello since 5th grade and is a member of the CPYO Senior Orchestra and the Bello Ensemble. He was selected for the 2026 California All-State Junior High String Orchestra and has received awards from the 2025 KAMSA Competition and the 2024 Silicon Valley Music Competition. Juwon was also honored with the Outstanding Orchestra Student Award at Sam H. Lawson Middle School for the 2023–2024 academic year. Outside of music, he enjoys playing golf and tennis with his friends.
Keonwoo Isaac Kil

Isaac Kil is a freshman at Valley Christian High School and a member of CPYO’s Senior Orchestra. He was selected to the 2026 California All-State Symphonic Band and previously served as principal clarinet of the Dartmouth Middle School Symphonic Band. Isaac earned a Gold Medal with a Superior rating at the CMEA Northern California Festival and has won first-place awards in several international competitions, including the San Francisco International Innovative Music Competition, the Charleston International Music Competition, the American Protégé International Concerto Competition, and the Golden Prestige International Music Competition. Outside of music, he enjoys spending time with friends and his two cats.
Ryan Kim

Ryan Kim is a freshman at Lynbrook High School who began studying the cello at the age of eight and has been a member of the GSYO for the past four years. His recent achievements include the Grand Prize in the 2025 IYPAC Competition (15 & Under Division), First Prize in the American Protégé International Competition, which earned him an invitation to perform at Carnegie Hall, Second Prize in the Silicon Valley Music Competition, and Second and Third Prizes in the Charleston International Music Competition. Ryan is a member of the Lynbrook High Chamber Orchestra and has participated twice in the HopeBox Charity Youth Orchestra. In his free time, he enjoys walking his dog, reading, swimming, and hiking.
Robyn Park

Robyn Park is a freshman at Branham High School, where she plays clarinet in both Concert Band and Marching Band. She previously served as Drum Major of her middle school Symphonic Band and was a member of the Band Leadership Team. She was selected for the 2025 and 2026 CASMEC All-State Honor Band and won the Silicon Valley Music Competition and the Charleston Music Competition. She currently performs with the CPYO Senior Orchestra. In addition to her instrumental achievements, she was selected for the 2025 and 2026 CMEA Honor Ensemble Choir and has performed leading roles in multiple musical theater productions.

Seou (Skylar) Kim is a freshman at Cupertino High School. She began studying both piano and violin at the age of five, developing a lifelong passion for music. Since sixth grade, she has focused primarily on the piano and is currently preparing for Level 10 of the California Certificate of Merit program. In addition to participating in numerous local recitals and festivals, Skylar regularly shares her talent by volunteering as an accompanist for youth worship services at her church. Her creativity also shines brightly in the visual arts. An accomplished young artist, Skylar won the Grand Prize in the 2024 Global Canvas International Art Competition. She enjoys painting, drawing, and 3D digital design, always seeking to connect with others through her creative work. Outside of her artistic pursuits, Skylar has been a dedicated competitive swimmer since sixth grade, training and competing with a local swim team. In her free time, she loves exploring coding, traveling to discover new experiences, and reading.
Dajeong Yoo

Dajeong Yoo is a 9th grader at Fremont High School, where she will be a member of the Symphonic Band. She performs with the CPYO Senior Orchestra and has been playing the flute since 6th grade. In 2026, she placed second in the Charleston Music Competition. In addition to the flute, she also plays the piano and violin. Outside of music, she enjoys listening to music, reading, and writing.
Jiho Kim

Jiho Kim has played the cello for four years. She has been a member of youth orchestras in both Idaho and California, including the Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra in 2023 and the California Youth Symphony since 2024. In 2025, Jiho was invited to perform in the Junior Bach Festival. She will be joining the orchestra at Archbishop Mitty High School in the fall. Jiho enjoys playing the cello, performing with other musicians, and continuing to grow as a young cellist.
Irene Kim

Irene Kim is a freshman at Menlo School. She started piano at age five and played for seven years, eventually shifting her focus to viola, an instrument she’s now played for six years. Irene was a member of the California Junior High School All-State Honor Orchestra (2025, 2026), volunteered with the HopeBox Charity Youth Orchestra (2025) and KAMSA Youth Symphony Orchestra (2026), and has won awards in multiple music competitions. Outside of music, Irene plays in competitive golf tournaments and has received multiple awards. She also brings nine years of swimming experience to her athletic background. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, reading, and listening to music.

Jessi Lin

Jessi Lin is a 14-year-old ninth-grade pianist from Santa Clara, California, who began studying piano at the age of seven. She currently studies piano with Hans Boepple and Sunny Sunha Yoon and attended the New England Conservatory Preparatory School (NEC Prep) during the 2025–2026 academic year. Jessi has received recognition in numerous regional, national, and international competitions. In August 2026, she won First Prize in the Piano Solo division of the United States International Music Competition (USIMC) and received Third Prize at the San Francisco International Piano Competition, where she also attended the associated music festival. In 2025, she won First Prize in her division of the Professional Category at the Chicago International Music Competition and attended its festival, followed by participation in Vancouver Piano Sessions.
Previously, Jessi was a prize winner of the 2024 Golden State Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition and performed Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto with the Golden State Youth Orchestra during its 2024–2025 season. She was also a top prize winner in the United States Open Music Competition (USOMC) and the Pacific Music Society & Foundation Competition. Jessi joined the InterHarmony International Music Festival in Italy and was invited to perform in InterHarmony’s 2024 concert series at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Beyond piano, Jessi enjoys reading, writing, learning opera, composing her own pieces, and exploring aerospace engineering.
