Amber Wee

BIO

Amber Wee is currently a sophomore grader at Harker High School and she has been playing clarinet for three years. Before playing the clarinet, she played piano for seven years and was also first clarinet in the 2024 CASMEC All-State Symphonic Band. She won second place in the American Protégé Romantic Music competition and won first place in the 2024 Charleston International. She currently does Hopebox Youth Orchestra alongside Sky. She has been a member of the CPYO senior orchestra for two years. Aside from clarinet, she actively participates in musical theater productions and is a part of the DECA community.

Minkyul Kim

Minkyul Kim is a sophomore at Bellarmine College Preparatory. He has been learning piano for almost ten years and started getting private lessons for violin in fourth grade. He also just achieved state honors in Advanced Level CM for piano. Along with these private lessons he has been playing with the California Youth Symphony for the past four years. Along with these two activities Minkyul enjoys mathematics and hopes to make JMO by Junior year. He also enjoys swimming and playing video games in his free time.

Jaeyong Kim

Jaeyong Kim is a sophomore at Branham High School. He started playing piano when he was in first grade. Throughout his career, he achieved state honor on certificate of merit 7. Outside of music, he is a 3D designer and currently developing video games with his friend.

Subin Kim

Subin Kim is a sophomore at Archbishop Mitty High School. She is also a clarinetist in the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra and performs with her school’s Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band. She was selected as a member of the California All-State Honor Band in 2023, 2024, and 2025. In the summer of 2025, she furthered her musical studies by attending the Clarinet Workshop at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. Subin has won 1st place in the American Protégé International Music Competition, U.S. International Open Music Competition, and Charleston International Music Competition, and she shares music through the KAMSA Youth Orchestra. Outside of the clarinet, she enjoys solving math challenges, reading novels, writing creatively, and playing golf.

Hyunseo Eo

Hyunseo Eo is a class of 2028 attending Saratoga High School. She started playing violin in 3rd grade in Korea and continued to play after immigrating to the US. She loves to hangout with her friends and Taekwondo.

Brenden Morrow

Brenden Morrow is a sophomore at Los Altos High School. He started playing clarinet when he was ten years old, after learning piano for three years. Brenden is a member of the California Youth Symphony’s Wind Symphony and plays at his school's Symphonic Band. Outside of music, Brenden is a competitive fencer and is part of Silicon Valley Fencing Center, where he started 5 years ago. He has placed within the top 8 in many tournaments, including 7th at the 2022 USA Summer National tournament. In his free time, Brenden enjoys listening to classical music and baking.
