Esther Moon

Esther Moon is a senior at Branham High School and has been playing the clarinet since the 7th grade. She serves as the first-chair clarinetist in the Branham Wind Ensemble, woodwind captain of the Branham Royal Alliance Marching Band, and principal clarinetist of the California Philharmonic Youth Orchestra’s Senior Orchestra. Esther was selected for the California All-State Honor Band in 2025 and 2026 and the Santa Clara County Honor Band in 2024, 2025, and 2026. She has won first-place awards in the American Protégé Concerto Competition, the Silicon Valley Philharmonic Music Competition, the US International Open Music Competition, and the Charleston International Music Competition, as well as an honorable mention at the Peninsula Symphony Young Musicians Competition. Esther is a winner of the California Philharmonic Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition and will perform as a soloist with the CPYO Senior Orchestra during the 2026-2027 season. Outside of music, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Lynn Choi

Lynn is a senior at University Preparatory Academy and plays viola for the Sky Ensemble. She initially studied violin starting in elementary school, but has continued to play viola since 2023. With viola, she has participated in the San Jose Youth Orchestra as the principal violist of the Chamber Orchestra in the 2024-25 season, and now as a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also played as a member of the HopeBox Charity Youth Orchestra for the past 3 years. She has received recognition through a variety of competitions including receiving 1st place in the American Protege International Competition, 2nd place in the Silicon Valley Music Competition, and 3rd place in the Charleston International Music Competition. Outside of music, she works as a swim instructor and volunteers at Korean school, enjoying baking and spending time with her friends in her free time.

Jay Lee

Jay Lee is a senior at Branham High School. He has been learning and playing the Flute for 5 years. Jay competed in many competitions in the Bay Area and won several of them. and 2nd place in the American Protégé International Competition and was invited to play at Carnegie Hall. He is a member of the Branham High School Wind Ensemble, as well as of the Avancé flute choir of San Jose Youth Symphony for 2 years. He has participated in the All Northern California Honor Band this year, and has received Superior ratings in the CMEA Solo and Ensemble festivals. Outside of music, Jay is a part of the Branham High School Tennis Varsity team. He enjoys playing tennis not only with friends but also competitive tournaments.
